Lancaster County nursing home inspection report through January 2019: Here are the reported deficiencies

A serious incident was reported in a recent inspection at one local nursing home, and another home was fined for an incident that happened last year, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Lancaster County has 32 nursing homes, which are inspected by the department. The following is a list of nursing home health inspection reports released since late November.
Much additional information on each home is available on the Medicare Nursing Home Compare website.
Standard inspections are performed annually, unannounced. Complaint inspections are performed when a complaint about a nursing home is registered with the department.
Deficiencies are ranked from least to most serious, as follows: potential harm, minimal harm, actual harm and immediate jeopardy.
Actual harm deficiency reports are summarized below, and the number of minimal harm deficiencies listed. No new immediate jeopardy or potential harm deficiencies were reported recently.
The current average number of deficiencies per facility is 6.6 in Pennsylvania and 5.8 in the United States, according to Medicare.
Here are the latest reports:
Conestoga View, 900 E. King St., Lancaster: Complaint inspections Nov. 11 and Nov. 26; no deficiencies. On June 20, 2018, Medicare fined the home $13,627. The report on that date said a resident was taken to the emergency room and died on May 8 after a significant medication error involving blood thinning medication.

Elizabethtown Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center
, 141 Heisey Ave., Elizabethtown: Complaint inspection Oct. 22; no deficiencies.
Harrison Senior Living of Christiana, 41 Newport Ave., Christiana: Complaint inspection Nov. 27; two minimal harm deficiencies.
Lancashire Hall, 2829 Lititz Pike, Lancaster: Complaint inspections Nov. 1 and Nov. 4; two minimal harm deficiencies.
Manorcare Health Services Lancaster, 100 Abbeyville Road, Lancaster: Standard and complaint inspection Oct. 17 and complaint inspection Dec. 1; one actual harm deficiency and 15 minimal harm deficiencies. The report said a diabetic resident was admitted to the hospital because of a hypoglycemic seizure caused by incorrect administration of insulin.
