Kerr County Indigent Health Care Program (CIHCP) information provided by: the Alamo Area Council of Governments

Assistance with payment for basic medical services BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Provides health care for citizens who meet program requirements (place of residence, income, resources). Services provided include physician visits, hospital inpatient and outpatient services, up to 3 prescription medications per month, and may include payment of existing medical claims. This program is also available to undocumented persons who meet eligibility requirements. Indigent Health Care is, by law, the payer of last resort, and all other possibilities will be explored first (when medically appropriate to do so). Households with minor children need to be screened first for Medicaid eligibility.

Obtain application from the office by phone or at the office. Patient must ready cover letter, fill out the application, gather items listed on the cover letter, and phone for an appointment
