    Benefits Counseling

    Provides information, counseling, and advocacy to senior citizens, and Medicare beneficiaries of any age, on their public benefits, entitlements, and legal rights. Benefits Counselors also provide public education on a variety of topics impacting seniors.

    Care Coordination

    Assesses the needs of persons 60 years of age or older and, when appropriate, helps them access and coordinate local resources to support independent living.

    Caregiver Support

    Offers services to senior caregivers (age 60+) who are raising their grandchildren and other relatives under 18 years of age.

    Information, Referral and Assistance

    The information, referral and assistance program links individuals who are 60 years of age or older, as well as individuals of any age who are eligible for Medicare, with the appropriate social services agency or community assistance program to best meet the current needs of the caller.

    Legal Assistance

    Provides assistance with the preparation of legal documents such as simple wills, advance directives and guardianships.

    Ombudsman Program

    The Ombudsman program uses specially trained and certified individuals (Ombudsman) to provide advocacy services to residents of long-term care facilities.

Their mission is to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in Bexar County receive necessary quality services.

Alamo Service Connection

Works to assist older persons and persons with disabilities to attain and/or maintain the highest degree of independence possible, to live in the most integrated setting, to facilitate self-determination and community inclusion, and to promote independence in public policy.

Arc of San Antonio

Provides case management, child care referral, direct child care, disability-specific training, socialization, community recreation, information referral and advocacy for people with disabilities and their loved ones.

Autistic Treatment Center: Zajicek Learning Center

ATC’s Zajicek Learning Center is approved by Texas Education Agency and provides programming for individuals ages 2 to 21 in bright, well-equipped classrooms. Low student/teacher ratios are maintained to maximize individual attention and to address special needs. Extensive opportunities are available for learning enhancement through physical, occupational, and speech therapy. All programming is designed to incorporate the development of communication, self-help, independent living, and social/recreational skills.

    Veteran’s Services

    An advocate agency established to assist veterans and/or their survivors in obtaining entitled benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of Texas. The office cooperates with local government agencies as well as non-government service agencies to assist clients in obtaining needed specialized services.

Brighton School

Serves children, birth to three years, born with developmental disabilities, and their families, through a transdisciplinary approach involving education, therapy, mainstreaming and community awareness.

Center on Independent Living (COIL)

Provides services and support systems needed to promote community integration/inclusion and self-sufficiency for individuals with significant physical disabilities. The progression/achievement rate among these adults is remarkably high. Most are able to live independently. Many obtain employment while others contribute to their community through various volunteer activities. But of major importance is an overall improvement in the quality of their lives.

Clarity Child Guidance Center

Helps children ages 3-17 who suffer from emotional and behavioral difficulties such as depression, mood disorders, trauma-based disorders, oppositional and conduct disorders, and other challenges. Services include acute and crisis assistance 24/7, sub-acute residential and day treatment, child, adolescent and family therapy, medication management, psychological testing, psychiatric evaluations, neuropsychological testing, substance abuse evaluations.

Mission Road Development Center

Mission Road Ministries

Presa Community Service Center
